MINISTER of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza, has praised the Presidential Village Business in Ward 18, Mutasa South, for its outstanding achievements in agriculture and fisheries.
In an interview on the sidelines of a field day that was held at the business unit yesterday, Minister Mugadza praised the project’s focus on sustainable farming practices and community-led development.
“This project is not just about agriculture and fisheries, it is about empowering communities and promoting economic growth. We will continue to support initiatives like this, which are helping to build a stronger, more prosperous community.
“The success of this project is a direct result of the community’s resilience and determination. We are committed to supporting initiatives like this, which are driving economic growth and improving lives. This project is a shining example of what can be achieved when communities come together to drive economic growth and development,” Minister Mugadza said.
The Nyakatsapa Presidential Village Business has made significant strides, farming 0.25 hectares of potatoes and raising 1500 Aballon fish.
Minister Mugadza also emphasized the importance of supporting local initiatives and promoting food security, highlighting the Presidential Village Business as a model for success.
“The village business units are a brainchild of our visionary leader, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and are a key component of our national development strategy. These units are empowering our rural communities, promoting food security, and driving economic growth. They are a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal of building a prosperous and resilient nation,” he said.
