As the vaccination of front line workers gather momentum a total of 64 prison guards in Chipinge have received their jabs against Covid-19.
Chipinge Prisons and Correctional Services Superintendent Elliot Khumhula said more officers will soon get the vaccines.
He urged the prison guards to take the voluntary vaccinations.
The vaccinations will greatly safeguard the lives of officers and inmates who are at high risk due to overcrowding in the correctional facilities.
