PROPHET Bright Chikomo of Bright Light Ministries is set to relaunch his ministry tomorrow in Chitungwiza at an event which has been dubbed “The Comeback of Commander 1.”

The event will also celebrate a decade since the Ministry was founded.

In an interview with H-Metro, Chikomo said:

“I have been away for a long time now and it’s sad that I have not been able to take care of my ministry.

“A number of people, who followed our ministry, are disappointed with me.

“All I can say is I was absent because of personal issues and other matters that I cannot discuss at this time.”

Chikomo chose Chitungwiza for the relaunch, believing that a fresh start in a different community could attract more followers.

“I live in Dzivarasekwa but decided to have this event in Chitungwiza because, as Jesus was disowned by his own people, I am sure people from a different community can accept me.

“The Ministry has not been active for five years because when I left for South Africa, I left leaders who were leading the church but when I returned I realised the church was not in good shape.

“I am not going to be doing what everybody is doing. I will use a different strategy to reach as many souls as possible.”

Chikomo’s ministry, which began in Mount Darwin, used to have branches in many towns.

“I spoke with Chitungwiza officials and I will be staying there for a few days to familiarise myself with the area before the event.

“With support from friends, I anticipate a vibrant event filled with impactful teachings, it is going to be an event full of life and great teaching.”
