Harare Provincial Magistrate Mr Tapiwa Kuhudzai has acquitted Prophet Walter Magaya’s bodyguard, Tapiwa Fellix Chikondo, who was facing charges of obstructing the course of justice.

Chikondo was acquitted following a full trial.

He faced allegations of attempting to influence witnesses linked to the ongoing investigation into Magaya’s alleged rape cases.

It was the State’s case that Chikondo approached individuals connected to the case with the intent of preventing them from giving evidence.

The court heard that such interference undermines the integrity of the judicial process.
