Railstars upbeat

The railway queens have warned their opponents to brace themselves for a bruising encounter.

Head coach Janota Phiri said they are hoping for positive results as they have prepared hard for the encounter.

“We are promising our fans a win. As I have always said there are no special players that I can say we are counting on but we play as a team and we are going to deliver as a team.

“I have a lot of faith in the girls and I believe they are going to live up to expectations,” said Phiri.
National team captain, Perpetua Siachitema will once again lead the girls in their quest for netball supremacy.

Last week the Bulawayo outfit was supposed to play host to Shamva but the visitors failed to pitch up. Two weeks ago they had played Waruwaru and thrashed them 47-17.

The Janota Phiri coached outfit is the only team that is representing Bulawayo in the Zimbabwe Netball Association Super league as most of the teams are from the capital.

ZPC (Hwange) and Hwange Colliery Netball Clubs are the other two teams from this region.

ZPC Hwange are on the road to Mutare for a date with Prisons side Tenax.

Meanwhile, Bulawayo Netball Association is a hive of activity this weekend with a full programme of fixtures.

Fixtures
Westgate v Free Stars, Mighty Queens v Sobukazi, Lobengula Queens v Fairbridge, Khami Prison v ZRP Bulawayo.
