Real Stars win Kuyamurana U-12 tourney

REAL Stars were crowned the inaugural Kuyamurana Under-12 soccer tournament champions after they got the better of Power Academy 2-1 in the final at Stodart Hall Grounds on Saturday. 

The tightly-contested final was the toast of the day as talented young footballers took part in the tournament that was celebrating the life of Munyaradzi Taundi. 

Taundi was celebrating his 48th birthday and decided to give back to his community in Mbare where he does his business. 

Real Stars managed to book a place in the finals after they got the better of Super Eagles 3-1 while Power Academy were 1-0 winners over Red carpet. Meanwhile, Support Unit has booked a place in the finals of the inaugural Tinashe Simbo Under-14 tournament at Support Unit. The tournament had 15-teams which included AS Academy, Royal Oak Academy, DZ Academy. Green Buffaloes, All Stars Academy, Jordan Stars and Young Stars among several others. 

To book their place in the final, Support Unit opened the campaign against Epworth Pirates who they drew 1-1 with and they went on to wallop Mutamba Academy 6-0.

Support Unit emerged the group winner on superior goal difference with Epworth Pirates, who also eased past Mutamba by 2-0, coming second. In Group B City Academy beat Perfect Choice by 6-0, before a 1-all draw with Shungu to emerge group winners.
