SOUTH Africa-based music record label, Taiwa Nation, has joined the anti-drug abuse campaign.
Taiwa Nation, led by Boss Shumba, has been campaigning against the abuse of substances as Mutoriro.
The co-directors of the record label reckon they are doing well in the anti-drug abuse campaign in South Africa.
“We are doing well with the anti-drug and substance abuse campaign through music, substance abuse has been an issue over the past years.
“Now it’s time we come together and try to stop the abuse of drugs among the young people because they are the future, “ said Boss Shumba.
He revealed how it has been difficult for his stable to get airplay across the Limpopo.
He said they have resorted to live shows as a way to push their music.
“Right now, because we are here in South Africa, we don’t have any radio station where we can launch or play music.
“So, we only do live shows whenever we want to launch our music.
“We have good projects, which end up going unnoticed, because we do not have access to certain people.
“But, we try to send our music back home to get airplay on local stations and it has been working,” he said.
Taiwa Nation leader said they were trying to bridge the gap in cases where locals feel they are being left out.
“We have since joined forces with G Boys Music and we are trying to push upcoming artists and get them into local gigs so that they can be known.
“We already worked on a riddim called Fongs Star Riddim with G Boys Music, it was a collaboration so we are waiting for it to be officially released,” said Boss Shumba.
