RESIDENTS CRY FOUL OVER NOISE FROM NIGHTCLUBS

Latwell Nyangu

RESIDENTS in Kuwadzana Phase 3 are up in arms with local authorities who are failing to resolve their concerns over the boise generated from the nightclubs in the area.

The residents say their pleas have been falling on deaf ears since last year.

They have petitioned the Council and the Liquor Board.

One of the residents’ representatives said:

“The shopping area, pane upstairs, has been turned into night clubs and there are about six of them, we have tried to engage the police, council and the Liquor Board but they seem to be all not providing help.

“We signed a petition last year and submitted it but up to now there has been no response.

“We went to the Liquor Board in early January vakati vanouya, kana kuuya zvavo and we also engaged the Ward 45 councilor and the MP in the area.

“They didn’t give us any help.”
