Restocking the national cattle herd, living the Zim-Asset dream

WHEN the population dreams in unison, the country’s forbearers intervene, then the Almighty intervenes, making it a reality.
The case of Zimbabwe, a rich country, full of diversity becomes a reality. The Zimbabwe Agenda For Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation is a reality which the revolutionary party, Zanu-PF, enunciated during its campaign juggernaut which shook off the little energy which its combined opposition had inclusive of the mercenary outfit, the MDC-T whose leader, the social outfit, Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, continues to swim against the tide which espouses and is representative of the people’s will, Zanu-PF.

In conformity with the dictates of the revolutionary party, Zanu-PF’s electoral promises, the party has embarked on restocking the national cattle herd.

Last week, Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Livestock) Cde Paddy Zhanda had the occasion to officiate at Chaperuka Village in ward 3, Kazozo, Nyanga North constituency where he espoused his ministry’s grand vision of reasserting the nation as the epicenter of cattle breeding.

Cde Zhanda promised to avail semen for artificial insemination, a measure meant to bolster the national herd. This will boost the initiative of the cluster of food security and nutrition whose premise solely lies on rejuvenating the country’s survival.  Zimbabwe is an agricultural giant on the reawakening route. Certainly, the nation is on course to reaffirm its status as the pacesetter in agricultural innovation and production.

The European Union with its usual arrogance has buckled to pressure due to the prevailing; it’s seeking for Zimbabwean beef given its supreme quality.

The nation is still one of the few countries that produces beef which has hardly any genetically modification tainting. Zimbabwe’s beef is pure and original given its natural feeding of its cattle.

The proponents of these schemes in Nyanga ,the Nyanga District Business Trust (NDBT) which is leaving no stone unturned in promoting development activities in Nyanga continues to advocate for the empowerment of ordinary Zimbabweans in Nyanga.

Talking to its youthful chairperson, the affable Cde Moses Gutu, who is also the Nyanga Rural District Council chairman, one is bound to conclude that the project which aims to empower the rural farming folk and all farmers in Nyanga is certainly destined for success.

The NDBT has a wide portfolio which it superintends; tourism which Nyanga is famously renowned for is one of its areas of interest. The trust has a deep passion for Nyanga to continue to be in the limelight as tourism destination of choice.

Cde Gutu reassuringly declared that the glory days of tourist flocking Nyanga are indeed beckoning. Nyanga has the tourist facilities, remember Mutarazi Falls, the exquisite Montclaire Hotel and Troutbeck Inn Hotel and the numerous cottages dotted in the area.

It would be suicidal to fail to mention the incredible Nyanga Mountain whose imposing height, the highest in the country still amazes even the frequent local visitors.

It is only impressive that the Ministry of Agriculture is spearheading the marketing exercise meant to discover virgin markets for the local farmers and reinvigorating the already existing markets inclusive of the then hostile European Union. Certainly you can never resist such high quality beef products that emerge from the Zimbabwean market.

Anyone who cares to remember will be conscious of the fact that Zimbabweans are a hard working people who thrive in endeavoring for the best in their areas of specialization. It is no fluke when the country is celebrated as the doyen of educational excellence in the whole continent.  Zimbabweans simply deserve the accolade for they are a resilient people who are their own economic liberators. Now that the world has realised the British deceit and is ready to work with these heroic citizens of Zimbabwe, the sky could only be the limit. May God indeed bless Zimbabwe?
