John 11 vs 25 to 26, Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die”. Do you believe this?
Definition of resurrection in Christianity is the event told about in the Bible in which Jesus Christ returned to life after his death. Hence resurrection is the raising from the dead, restoration to life.
Jesus Christ is referring to himself as the power of raising the dead as well as power of restoration to life. This is demonstrated when he rose from the dead after three days.
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said.
“You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. But he has risen! He is not here! See the place where they had put him. Go! Tell his disciples and Peter, He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. It will be just as he told you.”
Jesus also has the power to raise other people. This was witnessed when He raised Lazarus from the dead
John 11 vs 43 to 44, and when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, “Loosen him, and let him go”.
In our everyday life some people are walking, but dead. Death may be described as the permanent ending of vital processes.
In your life most vital processes are ending or have ended.
It may be dead jobs, dead marriages dead visions/plans, dead career paths, dead businesses, dead social activities, dead relationships and dead opportunities to name but a few.
You have lost hope in your life. Nothing seems alive. You need Christ. Follow him and he will raise you up again.
Christ brings restoration of life. Restoration is putting back into former position. That which you lost and that which has come to a halt, Christ is able to bring it back to its former position. He is the Resurrection.
The condition for resurrection is to believe in him. Do you believe that he is Son of God the one who died on the cross for you to have life in abundance? Rise above your situation today and believe. Jesus Christ is the resurrection.
Also do you believe he will come back again and raise you from the dead on his second coming?
