It bore the brunt of an aggressive challenge from his former club-mate Marvin Bakalorz during the 2-2 draw at promoted Paderborn on Saturday and he was taken off on a stretcher.
Dortmund said on Sunday that Reus is not expected to resume training until the beginning of January meaning he will not play again before the Bundesliga’s winter break.
