Rev Chivaviro in debut UK tour

After making waves with his new album “Ebenezer Tiri Munyasha” that features a number of musicians, gospel artiste Reverend Togarepi Chivaviro is set to make his first performance in the United Kingdom. The musician will perform in Leicester on May 30 before finalising his tour in London on June 6. The musician said he was happy that his new album has brought glory to his career.

“People have been calling from different countries requesting for our music. We are happy that this tour, which is our first overseas, will break another ground,” he said. For him platforms such as MySpace Music, iTunes Mexico, Zune, MediaNet, Amazon MP3, iHeartRadio, Napster, Spotify, iTunes US, iTunes Australia/NZ, iTunes Canada, Nokiamusic, eMusic, iTunes UK/European Union, iTunes Japan gave people a chance to listen to his music.

“We have different contracts that allow our music to be sold on different platforms and that has given fans access to listen to it,” he said. Chivaviro said they are on a mission and fans in different cities they would perform are guaranteed of good time of praise and worship.

“We have prepared well for the show and I am confident that people will love our music,” he said.

His first release was in 1999 called “Peace, Hope and Love”, then in 2000 he released “Power”.

In 2006, he released “The Best Of” (Compilation) before coming back in 2009 with “The Return”. His previous album was “Ishe Taungana (Hymnal Worship Vol 4)” released in 2013. “Ebenezer Tirimunyasha” has taken the musician to another level. Rev Chivaviro has also won a number of accolades in the last decade including the “Musical Peace Award” in 2003 for music that promotes peace.

He won the award alongside Alick Macheso and Ephat Mujuru for the song “Runyararo” off the album “Komborerai Africa”
