Black Rhinos received two training kits from clothing line Style by Minie at the National Sports Stadium B Arena yesterday.

The army side is currently holding pre-season training at B Arena.

Style by Minie has been involved in different charity cases and has also sponsored different artists, but it’s the first time they have been involved in sports.

Style by Minie representative, Cotleigh Mandizvidza, said the donation is part of their corporate social responsibility driven by passion to uplift talent.

“We are very happy to donate these training kits to Black Rhinos. It’s a way of motivating them ahead of the upcoming season. We felt we had to stretch our hand and reach out to them,” said Mandizvidza.

“Sports play an important role as a profession. This is our first time donating to a sports team and we hope to continue working with more sporting disciplines.

“We were focusing on artists in the past, but we have since diverted to sports and I hope the relationship with Black Rhinos will continue. We have noticed that in sports, a lot of talent still needs to be supported, especially at the grassroots level,” he said.

Black Rhinos official, Sympathy Buka, said they were grateful for the gesture.

“The kits will bring identity to us. Our boys have been training with different kits, but these kits bring uniformity to the team. It gives players an identity.

“We are going to pay back the kind gesture by doing well in the league. The boys will be well dressed and it makes them feel confident during training,” said Buka.
