ALL roads will tomorrow lead to Werras Park in Glen View for the Rhumba Extravaganza.
The gig will be graced by popular rhumba outfits and acts like Diamond Musica, Juntal, Jack Mapanga, BV Labien Musica and raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda. Show coordinator, Pitshou Lumiere, who fronts Diamond Musica, said it was all systems go.
He urged fans to show up in numbers for the gig meant to revive the genre.
“The day that we have been waiting for is now upon us and we are ready to rumble.
“This festival will be one of its kind and we promise our best show there.
“We urge fans to show up in numbers. It will be an early Christmas present for the fans.”
He added: “Rhumba is here to stay and fans should look forward to the best acts ever.
It’s a festival not to be missed as we want to thank our loyal fans who have been there for us.
“Most rhumba shows were being held in the CBD and other upmarket venues but we decided to take it to the ghetto where fans hardly get an opportunity to watch us on stage.”
