Nkayi-born Rhumba musician Ndabitshekile, renowned for producing hits, has once again thrilled his fans with the release of his fourth album, Siyehla. Known for his consistency, Ndabitshekile’s fans often proclaim that he never misses the mark with his music.

Last year, his track Vumizono earned him recognition on ZBC’s Khulumani FM, where it placed second in the station’s Best Albums of 2023.

The “Siyehla” album was launched in South Africa on Friday, alongside albums from other notable artistes, including Clement Magwaza, Nkinga, and Khakhakha Super Sounds.

The 2024 album boasts tracks such as Nyusi Volume DJ, Impepho, I Community Project (featuring Mr Valentine), Uzimu, and Mamazala. On the title track, Ndabitshekile narrates the story of someone living abroad who is homesick and resolves to visit home, even without money to bring gifts for their family.
Fans will ultimately judge whether the hit-maker has delivered yet another masterpiece. However, the album’s impeccable production at TK Studios has already garnered positive feedback.

Interestingly, Ndabitshekile deviated from his usual inclusion of a religious-themed song in this album, opting instead for a focus on social commentary.
“We decided to change the menu as a surprise, but the religious song we composed will be part of next year’s production. The launch went well, though a last-minute venue change may have affected attendance. Nonetheless, we’re happy with those who came to support us,” he said.

Ndabitshekile shared that he is unsure whether he will be home for Christmas, as he is still securing live shows. However, fans can access his music worldwide through online platforms.
“Fans outside South Africa will be able to get our music online. The album is doing well so far, and with the same support we received last year from radio stations, I believe we will go far again,” he added. –@themkhust
