The youthful, but talented musician is expected to serenade fans with his high energy performance from his three albums, namely “Sungura Kompressor”, “Mufaro Kwamuri” and “Simbi Hombe”.
Currently in studio recording his fourth album, the diminutive Gasa has been constantly churning out album after album showing his resilience to take his music to greater heights.
Buoyed by the success of his latest album “Simbi Hombe” which made some impact on the airwaves, Gasa is known for delivering his best in music and dance.
Since the release of the album, music promoters have been jostling for the young musician’s signature.
However, some of his fans have not had a chance to sample the album and, according to Gasa, this is the right time for him to take his music outside Harare.
It can be argued “Simbi Hombe” is his third album inspired by sungura maestro, Alick “Extrabasso” Macheso and the late Tongai Moyo.
A product of Chibuku Road to Fame talent search show, after he came first with his group, Extra Valembe in 2007, Gasa went on to win the Mathias Bangure-run Music Crossroads finals.
His latest offering carries six tracks, namely “Sarura Wako”, “Nherera Nyarara”, “Nguva”, “Mukoma Kosie”, “Ndaremerwa” and “Mwari Wedenga”.
Show promoter Taka Mashonganyika was enthusiastic about the gig saying Mashonaland West awaits Gasa.
“There is so much excitement surrounding the gig since it is his first time to perform at the joint and fans are looking forward to see what stuff the youngster is made of on stage,” he said.
