THE boys are back!
It is boots, bruises and bragging rights as Christian Brothers College (CBC) and Petra College host the explosive 2025 Matabeleland Schools Rugby Trials this Saturday in Bulawayo.

With nine top schools bringing fire to the fields, the Under-14s will battle it out at Petra, while the real carnage goes down at CBC with Under-17 and Under-19 clashes that promise blood, sweat and school pride.
FIELD A and FIELD B at CBC are the weekend arenas, where CBC, Falcon, Milton, Gifford, Plumtree, Northlea, Western Suburbs, and Masiyephambili go head-to-head in a brutal schedule that kicks off at 8AM.

It’s not just about tries and tackles, selectors will be watching closely as they hunt for the province’s best to form the Matabeleland Rugby Dream Team for 2025.
The match of the day is likely to be CBC Hornets vs Falcon First XV at 3:30PM, a titanic showdown that could shake the turf and settle schoolyard scores once and for all!

Scoreboard Flashback:
• CBC went down 37-7 to Peterhouse Boys.
• Falcon hammered 48-16 by Lomagundi.
• Milton crushed Allan Wilson 38-5.
• Petra edged Gifford 8-5.
• Plumtree mauled Northlea 52-0.

So who’s going to rise, and who’s getting steamrolled?

Don’t miss the hits. Don’t miss the heartbreak.
This Saturday, rugby takes over Byo!
