The result saw Chikwata moving closer to the drop zone but coach Edmore Sibanda said the loss was unfortunate as the team had played well.
“The team is now playing total football and I am happy with the way they are dominating play.
“It was however a lapse in concentration that cost us in the game against Chiefs as we had led for 84 minutes only for Bulawayo Chiefs to score two goals in the last six minutes.
“We are working on such mistakes and I am positive we will come with the best solution to move away from the lower rungs of the log,” Sibanda said.
It was another bad outing for Tsholotsho who lost 1-2 away to Black Boots at Cement Siding.
Lizwe Sweswe the Tsholotsho coach said it was another bad day on the bench but it was part of the game and they were still holding out for a top eight finish.
“We lost fair and square but we are still looking at a top eight finish as we are not worried by our position on the log at the moment.
“We are focused on our next match which I believe will be against Railstars who are also playing well,” Sweswe said.
How Mine continued with their winning ways when they beat Ntabazinduna 1-0 in their backyard to move a point ahead of second placed Bantu Rovers and move off their joint log leadership with ZPC Hwange who dropped points in their 1-1 draw with Railstars to drop to third place.
Their solitary strike came from Simbarashe Sithole who scored his 11th goal after an assist from Steven Sibanda who has 12 goals this far.
Sibanda yesterday said all teams were putting an extra effort when playing against them hence they were playing all games as if it was the last game in the league.
