BEAUTY queen Sakhile Dube is facing her date with destiny at the Miss Universe contest.
With exactly three days left, the countdown to the biggest moment of her life is in full throttle.
She will battle against some of the world’s most beautiful women.
Sakhile is competing with 130 other beauty queens from all over the world.
She will be battling for honours at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant on November 16 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
The iconic Shakira and super group Black Eyed Peas provide the accompanying soundtracks.
South African Miss Universe 1978 winner, Margaret Gardiner, will be part of the selection committee.
Television personality Mario Lopez will host the event.
The commentary panel will feature Miss Universe 2018 – Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2020 – Andrea Meza, Puerto Rican TV personality Carlos Adyan and Brazilian model Julia Gama.
Sakhile received training in Italy for her runway walk and undertook speech therapy with renowned experts back home.
Her polished posture, striking hairstyle and collaboration with top designers have made her a standout model, positioning her as a possible contender.
She won Miss Supranational Africa last year and secured titles as Miss Earth Zimbabwe (2022) and Miss Tourism Zimbabwe.
Sakhile will also be competing for the Miss Universe Africa title.
Miss Universe Zimbabwe officials left for Mexico on Monday to support her.
The winner will succeed last year’s winner, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
