Scad championships set to bring creative flair to Gwanda

GWANDA town is poised to erupt in a kaleidoscope of youthful creativity on Thursday as it hosts the Schools Creative Arts Drive (Scad) High Schools Championship at the Gwanda/Tshitaudzire Constituency Centre (Hall).

The highly anticipated event will bring together talented students from seven districts in Matabeleland South: Bulilima, Mangwe, Matobo, Umzingwane, Insiza, Beitbridge and Gwanda.

In commemorating World Poetry and Theatre Day, participants will vie for top honours in poetry and theatre categories, showcasing their creative skills and talents.

This year’s championship, themed “Amplifying Young People’s Voices Through Creative Arts”, provides a platform for young people to express themselves on pressing social issues and showcase their artistic prowess.

The event promises to be an exhilarating and enriching experience, spotlighting the creative potential of Matabeleland South’s young people.
