AS anticipation builds up towards DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small’s debut Harare show, there is a feeling the Scorpion Kings will stage the Show of the Year.
Expectations are high as the duo, who are rated among South Africa’s hottest acts, finally get to play for fans in the capital.
The show has been set for the Hippodrome in Braeside on November 22.
The event is being held courtesy of Mashwede Entertainment.
Mashwede Entertainment, who are also bringing in an international act for the first time, have promised music fans the time of their lives.
“We are guaranteeing all the attendees a good time and the date has been confirmed, there are no rain fears since it’s an indoor event.
“We are anticipating a full house and to achieve this we are inviting fans to buy their advance tickets on time to avoid disappointments,” said one of the organisers, DJ Iroq.
The event is a collaborative masterpiece that seeks to bridge cultures, genres, while celebrating the rich musical heritage among African artists.
Organisers have also included an array of rising local artists who include Master H, rapper Holy Ten and songstress Tamy Moyo.
Tamy’s inclusion on the line-up has been welcomed by fans who feel the stage also needs her energetic performances.
“All our local supporting acts are fired up, they have promised to match the energy associated with the Scorpion Kings.
“Master H, Holy Ten and Tamy Moyo have all been doing well at live events and are now commanding a huge following, we are banking on their influence to fill up the venue,” said DJ Iroq.
Fans can look forward to exclusive content, including a meet-and-greet session with the visiting and local stars.
DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small are known for turning venues into high-energy dance parties.
Kabza De Small is actually known as the father of Amapiano.
DJ Iroq, MC Tats, Luckie D, Rax the DJ and Ryan Synth are also part of the event.
Advance tickets are going for US$20 and US$60 for the golden circle.
