SCOTTLAND IN CHAOS! Star-Studded PSL newcomers on the brink as owner interferes, players revolt

WHAT started as a PSL Cinderella story is fast spiraling into a full-blown football soap opera.
Scottland FC, the glitzy Mabvuku-based outfit backed by flashy gold dealer and legislator Pedzai “Scott” Sakupwanya, is falling apart at the seams — and it’s happening faster than you can say “title contenders.”
Despite boasting marquee names like Walter Musona and Khama Billiat, insiders say the club is now a toxic warzone of boardroom interference, player rebellion, shady deals, and staff jumping ship.

WHEN THE BOSS PLAYS COACH…
After a 1-0 defeat to Ngezi Platinum Stars, Sakupwanya was caught on camera throwing a tantrum:
“How do we lose with stars in every position?”

He then allegedly blamed coach Tonderai Ndiraya for “wrong selections,” sparking whispers of executive handpicking of players, bypassing the coach’s authority.
“It’s a nightmare,” a source said. “He brings in his own guys and expects them to play — no matter their form.”

MORALE MELTDOWN
Players are said to be mentally checked out, with some regretting ever signing, despite the fat cheques.
The drama hit new lows when Sakupwanya praised his Division One side N’ombeyawora after a 4-0 win — while publicly throwing Scottland under the bus:
“Maybe I gave the wrong team the Scottland name…”

DODGY DEALS & MISSING CONTRACTS?
Zimpapers Sports Hub has learned of alleged contract fraud inside the club. Some players were asked to sign just one contract copy, instead of the required four. The rest?
“Forged and inflated to scam the salary budget,” insiders claim.
Meanwhile, players like Tymon Mvula were left in limbo due to botched loan deals — one move stalled for weeks over missing paperwork.
With wage commitments hitting US$120 000 a month, someone might be bleeding the boss dry — and not just on the field.

STAFF EXODUS BEGINS
This week, Scottland’s digital face Thulani “Javas” Sibanda quit — without even telling senior execs. He’s now CEO at Bulawayo Chiefs.
More exits could follow, with reports of in-house divisions and rising tension among non-playing staff.

SLIPPING ON THE FIELD
Despite all the bling, Scottland are five points behind rivals MWOS heading into Matchday 8. Ndiraya’s post-match remarks are sounding like a broken record:
“We need consistency… we lost focus…”
With just 12 points from 7 games, the dream start has hit a wall — and whispers about the coach’s future are growing louder.
Scottland may have hired big names and made big promises, but right now, their biggest battle is within.
