YADAH Stars can breathe a little easier ahead of their swim-or-sink showdown against Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
There is some good news for the Miracle Boys.
The Glamour Boys will go into this assignment without Tanaka Shandirwa and Isa Sadiki.
The duo’s loan deal does not permit them to play against their parent club.
Yadah are desperate for maximum points to be certain of Premiership action next season.
They are just two points above the danger zone.
Shandirwa has returned from national duty where he made his Warriors debut on Sunday in the 1-1 draw against Nigeria in a 2026 World Cup qualifier match in Rwanda.
Sadiki has been the spark plug for the Glamour Boys.
DeMbare are still targeting a second place finish, and this will make this fixture more exciting.
Manica Diamonds will claim the silver medal should they get the better of Bulawayo Chiefs, and Dynamos fail to collect maximum points.
It will also be a tough reunion for DeMbare coach, Genesis Mangombe, who made a name for himself last season at Yadah Stars.
Yadah’s main man, Junior Zindoga, who has been sharing the scoring responsibility with Jerry Chipangura, is adamant that they will maintain their status.
“It’s a plus to us that we are playing Dynamos without some of their key players, but we are not looking too much into that because anyone in their squad can deliver.
“As players, we are responsible for our situation, and the only way we can have a better offseason is to avoid relegation.
“Everyone in the camp is eager to help the team on Saturday, and we are confident of securing our Premiership slot,” said Zindoga.
He added:
“Prophet Magaya has done a lot for this club and, as players, we have challenged ourselves not to disappoint him.
“He has sacrificed a lot, and it’s just unfortunate that we have been applying the same energy throughout the campaign without getting the desired results.
“But this is the game which we are dedicating to him, and we are going to do whatever it takes to put a smile on his face after the final whistle,” he said.
