She bites me, hubby tells court

A TEARFUL Mutare man approached the civil courts praying for a protection order against his wife whom he accuses of biting him each time they have a misunderstanding.

Dennis Sigauke appeared before Mrs Yeukai Chigodora seeking protection against Mercy Chimangaisa citing physical and emotional abuse.

He told the court that they were having a good marriage until recently when Chimangaiso started sleeping around.

“Your Worship this woman is a thorn in my flesh, I can’t even sleep in peace in a house I built using my own money. Since the day she received summons to attend this court she has been shouting at me on top of her voice. She is disturbing my peace,” he said.

However, Chimangaiso told the court that Sigauke was not her husband.

“We are just cohabiting,” she said.

“Your Worship this man is abusing me. Whenever he gets drunk he beats and shouts at me.

“He also insults my son and niece threatening to throw them out the house,” she said.

She said she no longer loved Sigauke and suggested that they should part ways.

The protection order was granted to both parties and were advised to solve their differences amicably.
