GOSPEL singer Almanda Mtengwa tied the knot with Salma Mudimu on Saturday at a grand wedding ceremony attended by some of the legends of the country’s entertainment industry.

The event was graced by renowned musicians, including Tembalami, Nyasha David, Leonard Zhakata, the Charambas, the Travellers Band, Churchill School Pipe Band and the Purple Pride Family.

The groom made a grand entrance in a Rolls Royce Ghost, while the bride arrived in a 2024 Range Rover Velar.

Adding a touch of luxury and sophistication, the wedding entourage was accompanied by two custom-designed purple vehicles.

Leading the procession was the Churchill High School Pipe Band, marching with an air of regal splendour, creating a truly majestic atmosphere for the celebrations.

In an interview, Almanda said:

“As a gospel artist with a demanding career filled with rehearsals, performances, and travel, I never imagined that I could find someone who would understand it and support me in my ministry.

“But when I met my husband, someone with no background in music, we found a deep connection built on mutual respect, faith and understanding.

“Despite our different worlds, mine filled with the music industry and his world filled with his work which demands his presence most of the time, we learnt to navigate the challenges of our busy schedules.

“Through patience, clear communication and a shared commitment to each other’s dreams, we made our relationship a priority.

“Our love grew stronger as he became my biggest supporter, attending performances and always cheering me on.

“Ultimately, our bond proved that love doesn’t require you to share the same career, but it does require the willingness to support each other’s passion and dreams.”

Salma said:

“Marrying a dedicated gospel artist while pursuing my own career was no small feat, but it was a journey rooted in love, understanding and faith.

“When we first met, our lives seemed worlds apart, my structured career and their dynamic ministry appeared like two opposing paths.

“However, we quickly discovered shared values of faith, purpose and a desire to uplift others.

“I made it a priority to support her calling, attending their events and understanding the demands of their ministry.”

Salma added:

“In turn, they respected my career ambitions, encouraging me to grow in my field.

“We learned to communicate openly about our needs and made intentional efforts to spend quality time together despite our busy schedules.

“Our bond deepened through prayer, compromise and unwavering commitment to each other’s success.

“Though challenging at times, the love and mutual respect we cultivated proved that two people from different worlds could build a life together.

“Today, we are living proof that with faith and determination, love truly conquers all.”
