THE sprawling suburb of Dangamvura will tomorrow (Friday) reverberate into sound as Sniper Storm is set to perform at the much-awaited official unveiling of the posh Villa Spot Nite Club.
Sniper, who calls himself The General, is a revered and mature dancehall musician who has seen it all in the industry.
Several local dancehall musicians led by Dancehall Greatest president Tony D and established wheel spinners DJ Ranga and Candyman will support Sniper in a gig that is expected to draw hundreds of dancehall lovers across Mutare.
The musician, whose musical career dates back to 2003, is one of the most experienced dancehall musicians who have amassed thousands of fans and admirers. He has five albums to date which are Ghetto Gospel, Salute The General, Attention, Dongfeng and Silver Bullet.
Outstanding tracks on his latest 12-track album Silver Bullet include Mbama Yemupurisa, Ndisimudzeiwo, Musikana Anetwundebvu, Silver Bullet and Gotsi papata that features Jah Prayzah.
Villa Spot Club, situated in Dangamvura’s Area 13, adjacent Mangenje Shopping Centre, is set to host a galaxy of musicians across all genres.
The club’s publicist — Trynos Chigwidi — said it was all systems go at the new joint.
