AFRO fusion artist, Godfrey “Solution GC” Chirau, is being accused of allegedly duping rising artist, Micyounging, of US$100, in exchange for a song.
It, however, turned out the song and beat belonged to Nigerian gospel singer, Frank Edwards.
After realising the error, Micyounging has been demanding a refund from Solution GC, who he claims, has not been cooperating.
“He sold me the song for US$100 claiming it was his.
“I only realised it was not his when I was about to record it. I was advised that it belonged to Frank Edwards and I was at risk of being sued for infringement of copyright laws.
“I approached Solution GC, asking him why he gave me someone’s music, but he was not able to give a satisfactory answer.
“I then asked him to give me a refund but he still refused to comply,” he said.
Contacted for comment, Solution GC could neither deny nor confirm the alleged scam.
“I have no idea of what you are asking me. Are you fighting in Micyunging’s corner or what?
“You can go ahead with the story and we will start from there once you publish that story,” fumed Siolution GC before hanging up his phone.
