League chairman Musa Mandaza said all teams lagging behind in fixtures will have to play catch up and get to the season half mark of 15 matches before the end of the month.

This is to allow the league to conduct the draw for the John Landa Nkomo Liquor Hub Super 8 tournament.

a?The John Landa Nkomo Liquor Super 8 tournament will be played during our mid season break so we expect all teams to have played 15 matches before the end of the month. We want to take advantage of the mid season break to play the knockout tournament. This is why some teams have been slotted to play in mid-week fixtures,a? said Mandaza.

The Super 8 tournament, named after the late Vice-President John Nkomo and sponsored by businessman Raj Modi to the tune of $5 000, is eligible to teams that finish in the top eight after 15 matches.
