Stepfather rapes wife’s daughter (10)

Paradzai Murinda was not asked to plead to charges of rape when he appeared before Chitungwiza regional magistrate Mr Never Katiyo.
Murinda (31) was denied bail and will be back in court on December 19 for remand.

His trial will commence on February 20 next year.
Prosecutor Ms Joice Fusire alleges that on November 30 this year, at around 9pm, Murinda and his wife retired to bed in the bedroom while the girl slept in the kitchen.

During the night, Murinda woke up and sneaked into the room where the girl was sleeping and raped her.
After the horrible act he returned to the bedroom and joined his wife.

In the morning the child narrated her ordeal prompting the mother to take her to the hospital.
She filed a police report leading to her husband’s arrest.
