RISING traditional music duo T Square are set to release their second album, “My Africa”, on November 16 at Padziva in Dzivaresekwa Extension.
They have promised they will deliver an authentic fusion of rich African sounds.
Since their debut album in 2015, T Square have steadily built a reputation for their unique blend of African rhythms and contemporary music.
The album, which incorporates traditional instruments like the mbira, hosho, and mabhosvo, is expected to be a ground-breaking release that will resonate with African music lovers everywhere.
In an interview with H-Metro, the twin brothers behind T Square, Tafadzwa and Tatenda Maforipe, revealed that their latest project draws deep inspiration from their African roots.
“The album promises to resonate with people of all ages and backgrounds and seeks to unite people through the power of music and culture.
“This album is going to be a banger because it consists of a distinct fusion of sounds that reflect the diverse musical culture of Africa.
“We named this album ‘My Africa’ because each track represents a true African experience.
“Every song features sounds that resonate with African people, and we are confident that every African will find something to vibe with.
“With the support of our band Y2J we have worked tirelessly to ensure the album represents an authentic sound that resonates with audiences both at home and abroad.”
The album launch event is set to be a star-studded affair, and will feature performances from Obert Chari, Empress Massina, Progress Chipfumo, Tryson Chimbetu, Kurai Makore Mukanya, among others.
