Takesure makes sure

first league game for Dynamos, he smashed a superb hat-trick.
There is a new hero at the Glamour Boys and this gunslinger, Takesure Chinyama, is taking no prisoners and building an iconic status among the DeMbare supporters.
There have been a number of fairytale starts to life at Dynamos for strikers.
Evans Gwekwerere quickly comes to mind, exploding at Rufaro as an unknown forward six years ago, and running rings around the Shooting Stars defence to score the priceless goal.
The Earthquake quickly became the darling of the Glamour Boys’ fans and, five months down the line, he was away to South Africa.
Chinyama is not an unknown quantity like Gwekwerere because he has played football in Europe and also played for the Warriors and was part of the failed campaign for the 2010 Nations Cup finals under Valinhos.
But, every week, he is turning on the style with his goals and yesterday he sunk a memorable hat-trick in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie against newcomers Hardbody at Rufaro.
The Gweru-based Premiership greenhorns finished the match with 10-men when striker Calisto Maheya received a straight red card after he had stepped on David Kutyauripo’s head after the Dynamos right-back had gone down from a challenge in the 44th minute.
It was Chinyama’s first hat-trick for Dynamos since joining the Harare giants this season.
The big striker has already proved to be a vital cog in the team after scoring a brace in the 2-2 draw against Liga Muculumana in a Champions League first round, first leg game in Maputo.
Yesterday, Chinyama showed that his brace in Maputo was not a fluke as he scored three times to go home with the match ball tucked under his arms.
Chinyama, who until his return home at the start of the year had been playing professional football for Polish side Legia Warsaw, gave the champions the lead in the 23rd minute before he weighed in with two more goals in the second half to get DeMbare off to a fine start in the defence of their title.
But of all the three goals he struck yesterday, it was Chinyama’s opening goal — a long range beauty struck with venom to beat Hardbody goalkeeper Alexander Useni — that was the best.
The newboys had appeared to be absorbing everything Dynamos was throwing at them in the opening stages until Chinyama found a way through.
Chinyama then increased the Dynamos lead in the 70th minute when he got to the end of a high cross, whipped into the box by Rodreck Mutuma, to head home virtually unmarked from close range.
The giant striker completed his hat-trick five minutes from time when he capitalised on poor communication between Hardbody goalkeeper Useni and his defender Irvine Mugwamba to drill the ball home.
With more precision, Chinyama’s opening goal could have come in the 12th minute when he beat Mugwamba in the box but skied his effort while, a minute later, Denver Mukamba had his thunderbolt blocked out for a corner.
Hardbody were on the back foot although they had their skipper Hilary Gravel playing his heart out in defence to shut out Mutuma and Chinyama.
Gravel stuck to the basics by clearing his lines and displayed great composure despite playing with a heavily bandaged head after getting injured in the first 15 minutes.
That Hardbody were going to find the debut tough at Rufaro was not much in doubt but it was the manner in which Chinyama tore their defence apart that left a lasting impression.
But their coach Tavaka Gumbo believes that the red card on his striker was the turning point.
“I think the red card was a bit harsh for us and it was the turning point in the game,” said Gumbo.
“We wanted to attack but had one player getting expelled and that saw us losing our shape. After we lost a player the objective then was to defend so that we do not concede more goals since we were already trailing.”
The former Masvingo United and Shabanie Mine coach said he still has confidence in his debutantes and is hoping for better fortunes when they play Black Mambas in the next game.
“We had prepared for Dynamos just like we would do for any other game,” said Gumbo.
“The balls we used at training are Fifa approved and there are the same type of balls we used today.
“Generally I think we played well and the result is not very bad for us. I do not think that I should be making drastic changes to the team in the next game.”
Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa was happy with their fine take-off.
“We wanted to get early goals so that we settle down,” aid Pasuwa.
“We managed to get the quick goal and the take off was okay for us. I think we should have buried a couple of chances in the first 15 to 20 minutes but the conversion rate was so poor.”
Pasuwa also paid tribute to Chinyama for getting the crucial goals.
“I am happy with Chinyama for getting the goals and as I have said before, we need to have an experienced striker to lead from the front,” said Pasuwa.
“Hardbody are a good side but they take time to release the ball when they are attacking especially if they get in
