VETERANS of Zimbabwe’s liberation war have been called upon to contribute in telling the country’s history.

The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association challenged its membership to work with the Institute of African Knowledge and have their history recorded for posterity purposes.

ZNLWVA chairman Cde Chris Mutsvangwa said it is important to put the country’s history on the global map in all forms, including digital format, for the benefit of future generations.

This is important in helping the youths learn about Zimbabwe’s past so that they understand the present, he added.

Cde Mutsvangwa also encouraged researchers to engage villagers in areas where battles were fought when documenting the history of Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle.
