The crowd was firstly wowed by mbira princess Hope Masike, who gave an eclectic performance prompting enthusiastic reviews. Urban groover Sanii Makhalima delighted the audience with his latest hit “Kubhaguja”.
Later, comedian Carl Joshua Ncube proved why he is on top of his game by delivering a hilarious 20-minute set. Former Big Brother Africa housemate and musician Roki also took to the stage together with Sniper they produced the most polished, professional and pristine performance of the evening.
Rappers Karisma of “Tsvarakadenga” fame and regulars Tehn Diamond and Junior Brown were clearly a big hit with the hordes of young female revellers.
Interludes were filled in by Zimbabwean international DJ Deon Fulton better known as DJ Smoove, who was seconded by DJs Chucknosis, Ironic, the outstanding Takefizzo, DJ Hotspitter and high-flying female DJ Naida who closed the party.
Organisers of the Big Chill, internationally acclaimed event management company Khaya Defero, thanked all the partners for giving Harare a memorable Easter.

“We used all the skills we have garnered internationally to bring an incredible experience to Harare. We are so grateful to Hararians coming out in great numbers”.
Socialites spotted at the event include Big Brother UK contestant Makosi Musambasi, businessman Martin Hakunavanhu and his wife Pam, ZiFM presenters Delani Makhalima, Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, Patience Musa and others. Star FM presenters including the Breeze’s Tariro, Kudzai Violet Gwara, newsreader Itai Mutinhiri, Innocent “The Millennium” Tshuma and the affable Leander “LeeKay” Kandiero whose sound system powered the evening.
Star FM general manager Admire Taderera was pleased with the turnout.
