THE BUZZ BEFORE THE BIG STORM

Sports Reporter

THERE is a buzz in the domestic Premiership this season and one only needs to go to the official social media pages of CAPS United and Scottland to see that interest has returned to the domestic top-flght league with a bang.

Ahead of their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League showdown at Rufaro on Sunday, the fans of the two Harare sides have been trading cheeky blows on social media.

In the reverse fixture, the Scotts won 2-0.

But the Green Machine fans are bullish this time around, after the arrival of coach Ian Bakala, and they believe they will win this battle.

Scottland have been struggling to match the standards they set at the start of the season but still remain in contention for the league championship.

The arrival of Warriors forward Terry Dzvukamanja has boosted their hopes after the club struggled to get goals, on a regular basis, in the first half of the season.

CAPS United have also boosted their ranks with the acquisition of three players, including former Warriors forward Ishmael Wadi, whose pace can trouble any opposition.

Yesterday, the administrator of the CAPS United Facebook page teased Scottland with an image of a frail lion, suggesting that the Mabvuku side are easy opponents.

Scottland president Scott Sakupwanya is called Shumba by his closest colleagues.

The Mabvuku side then hit back with an image of a healthy lion about to crush the Green Machine.

It’s the comments, from both fans, which made up for some interesting reading.
