The opposition CCC’s internal power struggle has intensified, with the faction led by Welshman Ncube suffering a legal setback.
A High Court ruling last month barred Secretary-General Senator Sengezo Tshabangu from making unilateral changes to the party’s parliamentary leadership.
Tshabangu appealed the decision at the Supreme Court, but Ncube’s faction sought immediate enforcement of the judgment.
Justice Nevile Wamambo dismissed the Ncube faction’s application, ruling that they must cover legal costs.
Tshabangu’s appeal now stands, giving him a temporary reprieve in this escalating battle for control of the fractured opposition party.
