•The first Mother’s Day was held on May 10, 1908. It was founded by Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia, to honour her deceased mother.

•At least 4 people give birth every second.

•A mother changes diapers 7 300 times by baby’s second birthday.

•Mothers take two minutes and five seconds to change diapers in comparison to one minute and 36 seconds for dads.

•Mrs Omkari Singh from Uttar Pradesh, northern India is the world’s oldest mother for giving birth at the age of 70 in 2008.

•Mrs Feodor Vassilyev of Russia gave birth to 69 children between 1725 and 1765. In a total of 27 confinements, she reportedly gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets.

•The odds of woman delivering twins are 1 in 33. The odds of having triplets or other multiple births are approximately 1 in 539.
