BANTU Clothing is stitching its legacy into the hearts of Zimbabwean youth after pledging to sponsor introduction outfits for the Miss Teen of the Universe Zimbabwe (MTOUZ) finalists set to strut their stuff at the glamorous grand finale on July 26 at Holiday Inn Harare.
The ethnic luxury fashion brand, brainchild of Bulawayo’s own Kelly Nokuthaba Ndlovu, is stepping into the limelight with designs that don’t just turn heads but tell stories steeped in Zimbabwean heritage.
“We’re very excited. It means a lot to dress young Zimbabweans who are stepping out onto a global platform,” said Kelly, her voice laced with pride.
The deal means all 14 finalists will kick off the pageant oozing culture, confidence and couture, all thanks to Bantu Clothing.
“These outfits will show who the girls are and where they come from. We’re proud to be part of that moment,” said Kelly, who turned her Bulawayo Polytechnic diploma and Carousel attachment into a full-blown fashion movement.
Founded with a heartbeat for identity and advocacy, Bantu isn’t new to powerful partnerships. The brand has previously collaborated with Edgars and Mustard Seed Communities Zimbabwe.
“Working with platforms that have purpose keeps us in touch with the youth, culture and how identity is evolving,” she said.
This year’s MTOUZ edition runs under the theme “Empowering the Girl Child by Promoting Culture and Heritage Towards Vision 2030” — a perfect fit for Kelly’s brand ethos.
With last year’s queen Victoria Ncube making waves in India, eyes are firmly fixed on this year’s hopefuls. And thanks to Bantu Clothing, they’ll be making their mark in style, stitched with pride and sewn with purpose. – Follow on X @MbuleloMpofu
