Three nabbed for murder after Chibuku Neshamwari gala

The Herald-Two women and a man were arrested in Runyararo West, Masvingo, after they allegedly murdered a 22-year-old man following a brawl that started on their way from the Chibuku Neshamwari dance competition finals at Mucheke Stadium on Saturday night.

Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said Aloius Madembo (25) of Vanyoro Village in Zaka, Rosemary Gave (29) of Garapasi Village in Churumhanzi and Viola Tasara (34) of Musovi Village in Zaka were arrested for allegedly using an unidentified sharp object to fatally stab NyararaI Siyavizwa (22) of Runyararo West.

Siyavizwa bled profusely and died a few minutes after the attack.

Inspector Dhewa said on Saturday at around 11pm, Siyavizwa boarded a commuter omnibus on his way home from Mucheke Stadium.

The kombi he boarded was also carrying the three suspects.

Along the way, an altercation arose between Siyavizwa and the three suspects, resulting in the four disembarking from the kombi.

According to Inspector Dhewa, Siyaviwa was grabbed by the suspects and one of them allegedly stabbed him once on the collar bone with a sharp object, resulting in him bleeding to death.
