Thug attacks boy (10) with a machete over dad’s ‘infidelity’

A 10-YEAR-OLD Zvishavane boy almost lost his life to a 40-year-old machete-wielding attacker.

The boy was attacked while he was on his way to school on Wednesday morning.

Pilate Ruvengo reportedly attacked the boy over his father’s alleged adultery.

According to a police report, the 10-year-old boy is from Gonakudzingwa village, under Chief Mazvihwa, in Zvishavane.

The police have launched a manhunt for Ruvengo, who fled the scene after the attack.

“The suspect is still at large and the injured minor was taken to Gweru Provincial Hospital where he is receiving treatment. “Investigations are still in progress,” said Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
