GRAHAM FC thugs were yesterday arrested for assaulting journalists, stealing money and identification cards of Green Fuel officials in Ruwa.

Green Fuel had come from their Chisumbanje base for a ZIFA Eastern Region Division One League tie against Graham FC.

The match was abandoned in the 72nd minute because of bad light.

The Green Fuel FC bus was blocked from entering the stadium and players were forced to warm-up outside the school premises.

Two thugs, only identified as John and Dhiziri, were arrested for theft.

Tapson Jonasi, Elliot Sibanda and Lizwelenkosi Kuzipa were nabbed for assaulting H-Metro sports reporter, Curtworth Masango.

Masango was harassed by a mob, which shoved him out of the school grounds.

They claimed they had been hired by Graham FC officials to harass Green Fuel players, officials and supporters in retaliation to alleged similar treatment in Chisumbanje, in the reverse fixture.

The case was recorded under RRB 5272912 at Ruwa Police Station. “Hapana reporter arikupinda mukati nhasi chero iwe urikutora mafotos hausikupinda,” Elliot said, while holding a baton stick, by the gate. The disturbances attracted a number of people and motorists.
