Tips of taking care of your skin

Anne Ruthenburg
HELLO there folks, I hope you are all well. I received a letter this week from Loretta who said the following:-
Hi Anatasia, thank you for your fashion advice, it is very educating. Can you help me please, I am like you in that I love to use natural products especially if it is in my price range. Please can you give me some suggestions to help my skin.

Okay, then dear, here are 10 top foods you should include in your menu to help improve your skin.
Dark chocolate

Most of us adore chocolate. But dark chocolate is the best since it contains antioxidants, flavanols, and fatty acids that will make your skin glow. The main ingredient of this delicious food is cocoa that is known for its positive impact on blood circulation. Also, dark chocolate protects skin from the damaged caused by sunrays.

Carrots

Carrots are known to be good for your eyes, but did you know they are also great for your skin? They help to fight and clear up breakouts. Carrots are packed with vitamin A. Another interesting fact is that this veggie prevents the overproduction of cells in the outer layer of the skin. And if too many cells are formed, then excess sebum combined with dead cells clog pores

Red Bell Pepper

This vegetable can be eaten either raw or cooked. It is fragrant and delicious. One such veggie contains your daily dose of vitamin C. Apart from vitamin B6 bell peppers provide you with fiber and carotenoids. The latter prevents wrinkles, effectively fight acne and improve blood circulation.

Eat red bell peppers every day and you will look years younger than those who ignore this wonderful vegetable. This season this pepper is in most shops so enjoy.

Salmon

Oily fish fights anxiety, stress, and depression. There is no need to be afraid of fats that fish contains. Omega fats are healthy and won’t ruin your figure.

Eat salmon a few times a week to provide your body with vitamin D. This vitamin is necessary for your bones, colon, brain, and heart. It is quite pricey so I would understand if you don’t get this often.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is high in calories, but 90 percent of its fat is saturated. Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid known for its antibacterial effect due to powerful antiviral agent. A couple of teaspoons of coconut oil will lower the risk of catching inflammation, infection, and viruses. Vitamin E will soften and additionally moisturise your skin making it look more youthful. You can get this most months of the year.

Green Tea

Replace coffee with green tea! It does contain caffeine, but besides this it also contains unique amino acid called L-theanine. This component lowers stress and relaxes your body. Green tea is rich in antioxidants that will keep your whole body healthy and young for longer. I hate the taste, but I’m trying.

7. Spinach

Start loving spinach. It is a wonderful product that should be included in the menu. This leafy green is a real bomb stuffed with magnesium, chlorophyll, Vitamin C, folate, fiber, Vitamin E, plant protein, Vitamin A, and iron. The list of benefits seems endless! Eat spinach to have absolutely perfect skin. I have tried this and it works. Unfortunately it is difficult to get spinach in our local shops.

Seeds

All kinds of seeds are excellent for your skin. Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds contain vitamin E that softens your skin, protein and selenium that even out your skin and reduce wrinkles, and magnesium that greatly influences your mood and emotions.

Nutrients that flax seeds and hemp seeds moisturise your skin, fight acne and wrinkles. Seeds are also recommended to treat stress and depression. Finally, seeds are an incredibly.  I am still trying to get used to seeds people so eish.

Papaya

This fruit is truly a miracle food. It is rich in various nutrients, minerals, vitamins that are necessary for healthy skin and beautiful complexion.

It can perfectly replace most desserts because it is sweet yet low in calories, containing around 40 calories per 100 grams! Eat this fruit if you are trying to get in shape.

It is also a healthy snack because it contains zero cholesterol delicious and healthy snack.

Celery

Another plant that is capable of transforming your looks is celery. Most people ignore this vegetable, although it contains vitamin K. This component reduces high blood pressure and at the same time improves blood circulation.

Eat celery to lower your stress level. As we know, stress causes migraines, badly reflects on your skin and might provoke cancer.

That is it from me folks, until next week, God bless!
