THE sprawling suburb of Sakubva will tonight (Friday) reverberate into the sound of dancehall’s current hottest property, Tocky Vibes, in a potential thriller scheduled for Chinyausunzi Beerhall.
The suburb’s own dancehall jewels, Lady Popa and Fire Lady will perform as curtain raisers before the main act.
The shows start at 7pm till the wee hours of Saturday.
Tocky, real name, Obey Makamure will have to prove to the ghetto youths why he is the country’s after sought musician. He has been outclassing several renowned musicians across all genres because of his educative, mature and inspiring lyrics.
Some of his finest gems include Ndini ndinorira, Batai Homwe, Amai, Vakatisiya, Ayenda nenyika. He is just twenty years old but he has proved to be an inspiration across all ages.
Organisers of the show, The Gwarada family, said bringing Tocky was the beginning of great things ahead. Interestingly, dancehall giants Winky D and Soul Jah Love will also stage live performances at the same venue before the year curtains down.
“We decided to start by bring the man of the moment. We are proud to bring him to the heart of Sakubva and entertainment hub. This is just the beginning,” said the bar spokesperson, Maureen Gwarada.
