‘Tourism, timber, mining key development areas’

Tourism, timber production and mining have been listed among suggestive development elements to be prioritized as Manicaland formulates its integrated development plan in line with the National Development Strategy 1.

In an interview on the side-lines of a provincial economic development workshop recently provincial development coordinator,Mr Edgars Seenza, said the purpose for the plan formulation is to guide implementation of development projects to grow the provincial GDP.

The workshop is being attended by all district development coordinators, government departments and other stakeholders as government commits to implementation of NDS1.
