True forgiveness is as substantial as the cross on which Christ bought it. No man can understand forgiveness unless taught by experience. If the joy of it could be communicated, some would consider it too wonderful to be true. They can be assured however that Divine forgiveness is not a fairy tale, or a wish-fulfilment. IT RESTS ON A ROCK FOUNDATION, ON THE HISTORIC FACT OF JESUS CHRIST’S REDEMPTIVE SACRIFICE. He suffered “ the Just for the unjust to bring us to God” ( 1 Peter 3:18 ). The Cross was no fiction.
