TWO brothers, who terrorised women at Churu Farm in Glen View after going on a raping spree, in which they also attacked a number of teenage victims, have finally been arrested.
They had been on the run since September.
Itai and Simon Madhogo appeared before regional magistrate Tilder Mazhande yesterday charged with several counts of rape.
The duo appeared separately.
The State alleged that in the first count, Itai attacked the complainant, who is 16, at her home and told her that he was an armed robber and had already captured her parents.
He asked her where the money was kept by her family and then took her outside the house to show him how the car that was parked could be opened.
He then dragged the girl to the Council paddocks near Churu Farm and raped her.
He allegedly wiped himself with her panties.
In the second count, the court heard that Itai broke into the second complainant’s home on October 27, armed with a gun, at around 1am.
He allegedly raped her at gun point and fled.
In the third count, the court heard that on November 7, Itai broke into the third complainant’s home and threatened to shoot her with the gun he was holding.
He allegedly led her to the fields near Emmanuel School and raped her.
Simon allegedly raped a 14-year-old-girl in June after kidnapping her from her home.
The two were remanded in custody and advised to approach the High Court for bail considerations.
