Two die in Plumtree Road accident

TWO people died when two vehicles collided near Mbokodo Butchery along Plumtree Road on Friday evening.

One of the passengers was seriously injured.

Bulawayo Fire Brigade chief fire officer Mr Mhlangano Moyo said emergency services personnel attended the scene eight minutes after receiving the call about the fatal accident.

“The fire brigade received a report of a head-on collusion accident involving a private motor vehicle and a one and half tonne truck along Plumtree road near Mbokodo and emergency personnel found both vehicles extensively damaged,”

“Two persons in the private motor vehicle were found trapped inside the wreckage due to severe deformation of the vehicle structure. They were confirmed dead and case handed over to the Zimbabwe Republic Police,”

Mr Moyo said the injured was taken to a local hospital.
