Court Reporter
TWO MDC-T activists believed to be part of the 50 youths who allegedly assaulted a policeman who was on duty at the party’s rally in Kambuzuma yesterday appeared in court charged with assaulting a peace officer.

Passmore Jaricha (28) and Lovemore Chimbanga (19) were not formally charged when they appeared before Harare Magistrate Mr Don Ndirowei who remanded them in custody to today for bail ruling.

Prosecutor Mr David Magwegwe opposed bail arguing that the pair were a flight risk.
He said the court should ensure that the pair stands trial while they are in custody and also ensure that investigations are completed in time.
