The United Family International Church yesterday donated goodies worth over US$9 000 to female inmates at Chikurubi Female Prison.
Among the donated goods were 64 packs of sanitary wear, 20 boxes of bathing soap,100kgs of Kapenta, 20 baby blankets and 1 600 metres of cloth. Speaking at the occasion, Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa, wife to UFIC leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, told the inmates not to lose hope, but remain faithful and keep praying.

She said God would always be there for his people no matter how much they might have sinned against him.
“Your relatives might neglect you in life, but you must always remember that the almighty is always on your side during good and bad times and he loves every one of us equally and will never neglect his people,” she said.

Prophetess Makandiwa said the goodies were a gift from God who always remembered his people with much favour. “All these goods are a gift from the Almighty, we are just messengers who have been sent by God to deliver them to you,” she said.

Prophetess Makandiwa said the inmates should always remember that God was the only one who could deliver good things in their lives.
