INGCITSHI kwezokulima sezixwayise abalimi ukuthi bangalima i-green pepper ngoba siyisilimo esithandwa ngabantu abanengi futhi esilenzuzo.

“I-pepper kayihluphi ukulima njalo ilinywa ngenyanga kaMpandula kusiya kuLwezi lapho umqando usudlulile. Ilinywa emhlabathini olitshebetshebe kodwa ofakwe umquba,” kutsho unkszn Mpofu.
Uthe inhlanyelo ye-green pepper ihlanyelwa amaviki angu-4 kusiya ku-6, ingakhula sekugxunyekwa amaxhakela.
“Inhlanyelo ye-green pepper ihlanyelwa amaviki angu-4 kusiya ku-6 njalo ingakhula ibeyi-15cm sizenziwa i-transplant, kuvulwe imizila phakathi ukuze ikhule kuhle,” kutsho unkszn Mpofu.
Uthe ukhuthaza abalimi ukuthi bavuke nsukuzonke bekhangele izilimo zabo ukuthi azilazibungu nxa sebezihlanyelile.
“Sikhuthaza abalimi ukuthi bevuke nsukuzonke bekhangela izilimo zabo ukuze bedobhe izibungu. Sibakhuthaza njalo ukuthi bafafaze izilimo zabo ukuze zivikeleke emikhuhlaneni,” kutsho unkszn Mpofu.
Uphethe ngokuthi i-green pepper ivuthwa ngemva kwenyanga ezintathu.
“I-pepper ivuthwa ngemva kwenyanga ezintathu njalo sikhuthaza abalimi ukuthi nxa bengayivuna beyigcine endaweni elokuqanda okuphakathi kwe-4, 5-7 degrees Celsius,” kuphetha uNkszn Mpofu.
