ACTING Manicaland Zanu-PF provincial chairperson, Dr Samuel Undenge, has called for an end to factionalism which is continuing unabated in Chipinge.Addressing party supporters in Chipinge DA’s boardroom last Friday, Dr Undenge said his administration had no room for factionalism and would not hesitate to take disciplinary action on the culprits. “As the chairperson of the province, I will take punitive action on offenders who want to bring chaos to the party. There is one command of authority in our party which every cadre is expected to respect. The constitution should be observed and followed religiously.
“We should have team spirit in order to foster development. As a province we should aspire to do better because this is the year for economic transformation and also ensuring that Government policies are achieved,” he said. Turning to the issue of land allocation at Chihoza Farm which caused political mayhem in Chipinge recently, Dr Undenge said every Zimbabwean had a right to own land anywhere. He said land should not be allocated on tribal lines because there are other districts with no arable land. “We are saying no to multiple farm ownership so that every landless citizen will benefit from the land reform programme.
“Every Zimbabwean has a right to own land anywhere in this country and those trying to stop fellow Zimbabweans from owning land because of being an outsider from that particular district should stop that. The provincial leadership agreed that those from districts such as Chimanimani and Buhera where there is no land for crop production should also benefit from areas with land.”
